When MA began with the distribution of Ayurvedic products in 1987 they were the pioneers of Ayurveda in Europe. With their decades of experience, they have been able to contribute significantly to the expansion of Ayurveda.
Their main focus has always been on the quality of their products. Their reference for this was the Vedic scholar Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, who spearheaded the revival of Maharishi Ayurveda in the late 1970s. - The 'Golden Triangle' project
MAP is the only manufacturer of Ayurvedic products appointed to the 'Golden Triangle Partnership' project (GTP) of the Indian Health Ministry. Together with the 'Department of Ayurveda, Unani, Sidha & Homeopathy (AYUSH)', the 'Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)' and the 'Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)' they are working on the further dissemination of Ayurveda and growing scientific recognition.
The pivotal reason for MAP India's inclusion in GTP is its exemplary working practice: '... production units and laboratories fulfil the standards for production, and evaluation of herbo-mineral preparations and Bhasmas (Ayurvedic treatment of mineral-products) ...'

„Ayur“ means „life“ or „life span“ and „Veda“ means „knowledge“. Ayurveda is the holistic knowledge of a long and healthy life. Its origins date back thousands of years.
As a result of major cultural upheavals the holistic science of Ayurveda became fragmented. In the seventies, the great Vedic expert Maharishi Mahesh Yogi inspired the best Ayurvedic experts from all over India, as well as Western doctors and scientists, to gather and complete the ancient traditions of Ayurveda and verify them through modern scientific methods. This complete, holistic form of Ayurveda is called Maharishi Ayurveda. He also established an international network of doctors, clinics and schools.
The first Maharishi Ayurveda product was the famous and thoroughly researched universal tonic "Maharishi Amrit Kalash". As early as 1987 the first production facilities were opened in Noida and Faridabad, India, to produce this precious rasayana in its original, pure form.
Shortly afterwards great dedication and commitment made it possible to add further rasayanas as well as natural cosmetic items, oils and ghees to the product range. Currently, offer more than 900 high-quality and authentic Ayurveda products.
